Anna Venizelos, O.D.

Dr. Anna Venizelos was raised in Claremore, Oklahoma. As a child, she was a patient of Dr. Eric Kuykendall. Her memory of putting on her first pair of glasses and seeing clearly at a distance was one of the core reasons that becoming an optometrist intrigued her at an early age. As she grew older, she knew she wanted to work in a healthcare setting to help serve others. She learned how ocular health can reflect overall systemic health, and she decided officially that she wanted to explore optometry as a career possibility.

During her senior year at Claremore High School, she asked Dr. Kuykendall if he would allow her to shadow at his clinic. He graciously allowed her to do so. Afterwards he offered her a part-time job during her time at Rogers State University. Dr. Venizelos worked as a technician, optician, and receptionist for 4.5 years. She loved learning about the profession and working alongside such a wonderful team. She carried their encouragement during her time at optometry school.

After optometry school, Dr. Venizelos elected to pursue residency education. Residency is not a requirement for optometrists, but she knew that she wanted to learn as much as possible to help better serve her patients. At Triad Eye Institute, a local surgery/referral center, she learned how to better diagnosis and manage various ocular diseases. She also learned how to help patients with pre- and post-operative care for surgeries, including: cataract, glaucoma, corneal crosslinking, LASIK, PRK, and ICL.

Dr. Venizelos is very happy and proud to be working at this clinic as one of the optometrists. She is dedicated to being a member of this community. Her goal is to help her patients see the best that they can and to help broaden their understanding of their ocular health.
